Our company was established in 2015 by Charis Loizou and Dinos Shiamtanis, combining nearly 40 years of experience and expertise in structural engineering and construction. Under the name Loizou & Siamtanis Civil Engineers, the company quickly gained recognition for its technical excellence and high-quality services.
In 2025, we entered a new era of growth and development, rebranding as Charis Loizou Civil Engineers, led by Charis Loizou and Dimitris Iacovou, who has been a key member of our team since 2018. Although Dinos Shiamtanis has stepped back from active involvement, he continues to support us as a trusted advisor and close collaborator.
This transition marks a natural evolution of our company—one that reflects our ongoing commitment to consistency, innovation, and technical integrity. Our operations continue uninterrupted, and our mission remains the same: to provide smart, integrated engineering solutions with a focus on quality and long-term value.
Our team is composed of young, passionate, and technically skilled engineers with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail. Supported by a trusted network of specialized partners, we offer comprehensive services for both new constructions and the strengthening or upgrading of existing structures.
Our top priority is to provide fast and effective responses to any challenges that arise, both during the construction phase and throughout a building’s lifecycle, minimizing delays and reducing cost.

MEET OUR TEAM
Charis Loizou
Charis graduated in 2001 from the Higher Technical Institute. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology & Economics.
In 2005, he became a salaried partner and later a shareholder in the firm Akis Charalambous Architects, where he remained until 2015.
In 2015, together with Dinos Shiamtanis, he co-founded the civil engineering and consulting firm Loizou & Shiamtanis Civil Engineers LLC, where he serves as Director and shareholder.
As of January 1st, 2025, the company continues its operations under the name Charis Loizou Civil Engineers LLC, with Charis remaining in his role as Director and shareholder.
Dimitris Iakovou
Dimitris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 2012.
He completed a one-year internship at Akis Charalambous Architects and subsequently worked as a site engineer for a construction company for three years.
Since 2018, Dimitris has been working as a structural civil engineer at Loizou & Shiamtanis Civil Engineers LLC.
As of January 1st, 2025, Dimitris assumes the position of Shareholder at Charis Loizou Civil Engineers LLC.
Spiridoula Papadopoulou
Spiridoula graduated in 2020 from the University of Peloponnese with a Bachelor’s degree. She worked at a construction company in Greece for one year.
Since 2021, Spiridoula has been working as a structural Civil Engineer at Loizou & Shiamtanis Civil Engineers LLC.
As of January 1st, 2025, Spiridoula continues her role with Charis Loizou Civil Engineers LLC.
Konstantinos Karipidis
Konstantinos holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Frederick University in Nicosia since 2019. He interned at a steel construction company and then worked as a site engineer for 2 years.
Konstantinos has been working as a structural civil engineer for Loizou & Shiamtanis Civil Engineers LLC since 2023.
As of January 1st, 2025, Konstantinos continues his role with Charis Loizou Civil Engineers LLC.
Vasilis Loizou
Graduate of the School of Fine Arts in Ioannina (2015). Since January 1, 2025, he has been working at Charis Loizou Civil Engineers LLC as an Office Administrator.
